Testimonials

Working on existing properties and inside people’s homes can be a sensitive and important job; it is imperative that we take care to develop a refurbishment programme and approach which works for everyone.

Our team are experienced in working within domestic and commercial properties, both occupied homes and void properties, adapting our approach to the situation, including to the individual needs of the resident(s) and through the support of our dedicated Resident Liaison Officer. Over 50% of the jobs we carry out are within the social housing sector, making the homes of vulnerable people better and improving their lives.

Where homes are inhabited, we work around the resident’s particular medical needs, disabilities, vulnerabilities and preferences so customers are supported at all stages of the process. We make sure we listen carefully to ensure we understand the intricacies of their routine, the services they need and the people around them who visit and care for them, so everything goes to plan. It is a privilege for us to be able to contribute and see the difference it makes for a resident to have a new bathroom or kitchen - for the people who need it most.

We also provide a speedy service to turn around void properties ready for re-housing new residents. Our teams plan, programme and deliver quickly and effectively to open up new homes and maximise every pound in taxpayer money to help their next occupants.

Various testimonials from our social housing provider and local authority clients:

“I've visited a few very happy customers today so I will post stories onto our Intranet later! You'll see how happy Bruno the dog is with his new kitchen on Averill Street & another very happy lady on Cooke St! Both said you've done an amazing job and all work lads have been polite and professional.”

“We are fitting kitchens and bathrooms on this investment program, the customers I visited had recently had their new bathrooms fitted and the feedback I got about Moffat & Riley was very positive. Mrs E said everyone had been so polite and clean during works and [the team] has also gone out of their way to put up shelving for her. The lady has a disabled son who sometimes stays over so they needed extra adaptations fitting. Her son’s passion was ponds and aquatics and it was lovely to hear that Neil (Moffat & Riley Site manager) and Dave (Moffat & Riley’s Liaison officer) had both taken time out to chat with her son about his favourite subject. Small things certainly go a long way to make people happy!”

“A few happy customers today from the projects. Both had new kitchens fitted by Moffat & Riley. They both scored the team 10/10 and said they were so happy with their new kitchens. No.1 & No.8 said the workmen were polite, clean and did a fantastic job. Jennifer at No.8 also commented on how nice the choices were for the kitchens and that she was pleasantly surprised she could pick. Comments I received were "Work was done great, lads very respectful" Another was "The work is of a high spec, all the workmen were a 10/10 in performance and effectiveness they were all very respectful of my home" and finally "workmen friendly kept everything clean and finished the work lovely" Thank you to all the team at Moffat & Riley for keeping our customers happy!”

“A very happy Monday to be had to all, Mr & Mrs M are overjoyed with the newly fitted kitchen by contractor Moffat & Riley. Mr M, an ex-serviceman showed me some of his craftwork and displays he makes for The Poppy Appeal and Help for Heroes so it was a pleasure to see this couple so happy. They said Andy (site manager) was extremely helpful and "nothing was too much trouble" they also expressed their thanks to every tradesman who worked on the property. They have also bought some simple to fit strip lights to finish the kitchen off. They also had a new bathroom fitted which looked beautiful.”

“Another investment update to share completed by contractor Moffat & Riley on Lot 21. They have just completed works over on an Independence & Wellbeing scheme over in Prestwich. The residents living here are extremely vulnerable so it was decided that it was in the best interest to decant them for 2 weeks whilst work was done. Improvement works included a new kitchen, shower room, wetroom & cloakroom. We had a few issues due to supply chain and materials so Moffat & Riley went over and above by working extra hours & weekends to get works completed so the customers were safe to move back home. Thanks to all involved in this another job well done!”
